Developed by a group of artists handpicked by the English designer, the latest collection of adidas by Stella McCartney pays homage to the world and the environment.

Made up of streetwear in style, with silhouettes and prints taking inspiration from female skate crews, the collection was brought to life under the creative direction of several different artists and activists, including Anna Pollack, Monika Mogi, Georgia Moot, DJ Akili King, Netti Hurley, and Lourdes Leon (Madonna’s daughter, who also modelled the new collection).

Each artist selected their own team to work with on the project, and choose their specific inspiration under the broader theme of celebrating the environment. For example, New York City-based director Pollack chose to work with Leon and King, both of whom are critical voices in the next generation, actively pushing for inclusivity and female empowerment. Meanwhile, Japanese photographer Mogi tapped dressmaker Yuri Hibon, who is passionate about sustainable farming, and Olympic archer Ren Hayakawa, to develop her nature-inspired pieces.

Like with all Stella McCartney endeavours, the newest adidas by Stella McCartney collection is sustainable. Using the latest material technologies, pieces are made out of Primeblue, a high performance recycled material created by adidas, and Primegreen, a high-performance yarn that contains 50% recycled contents.

Items in the collection range from oversized training pants and knee-length high-waisted shorts to long-sleeved crop tops and lightweight jackets. The collection also features sneakers, hats, bags, and other accessories.
