Following the inauguration of its Repurposed collection back in September, beloved Stockholm-based fashion house Acne Studios is kicking off the New Year with the second season of their series.

Acting as part of the label’s sustainability initiatives, Acne Studios’ Repurposed series includes a range of Jonny Johansson-designed pieces created using excess fabrics and materials, along with deadstock items from its previous collections. For Season 2, the label focuses on textural contrasts by reimaging leftover overdyed vintage black wash denim, red leather, and overprinted materials as the range’s core essentials.

The new lineup of sustainably-made garments comprises four apparel items that have been elevated with statement-making design details throughout. First up, the oversized black denim and wool jacket incorporate zipper seams running through the collar and down both sleeves. The jacket is additionally spotlighted with buttoned pockets. Elsewhere the loose-fitting blouse was created by cutting and patching together five different shirts in bold and contrasting prints.

Rounding out the collection is a matching red and black A-line mini skirt and straight cut trousers, both fabricated from leather and denim and accented with the capsule’s recurring zip motif. The working zipper runs from the bottom all the way up to the top of both garments for an added edgy appeal.

Acne Studios promises to remain true to the series’ overarching philosophy, with each upcoming capsule to offer a new perspective from the brand.

Season 2 of Acne Studios’ repurposed collection is now available in-store and online with prices range from $640 CAD for the zip skirt to $950 CAD for the zip trousers.
