Designed by Virgil Abloh, artistic director of Louis Vuitton’s menswear and chief executive officer of Off-White, the release of Louis Vuitton’s third edition Silver Lockit renews the French fashion house’s support of children in need around the world.

Part of the LV for UNICEF collection, $100 is directly donated to UNICEF for each purchase of the Silver Lockit bracelet. More specifically, proceeds from the bracelet will go towards providing resources for children who do not have access to adequate water, sanitation, or nutrition.

“In continuation of its #MAKEAPROMISE campaign, Louis Vuitton is committed to raising awareness and funds for UNICEF to support the most vulnerable children around the world. By purchasing the Silver Lockit bracelet designed by Virgil Abloh, clients have the opportunity to support UNICEF’s work in disaster-affected countries and reaching children in vulnerable situations,” reads the company’s official statement.

The Silver Lockit bracelet features a twisted cord fastened by an engraved padlock, a nod to Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2020 collection. The padlock detailing takes inspiration from the tumbler lock invented by George Vuitton in 1890, intended to safeguard the most precious belongings of his clients.

Retailing for $440 USD, the bracelet is available in four colours: black, orange, blue with yellow, and celadon green.

In addition to the Silver Lockit bracelet, there are two other pieces in the LV for UNICEF collection. These include the Silver Lockit Pendant and the Silver Lockit bracelet in sterling silver.
