Los Angeles-based clean beauty company Vegamour recently added hand sanitizer to the list of products on its website. The vegan beauty brand, which is known for its hair and lash serums, first began selling moisturizing hand sanitizer back in March in response to COVID-19.

However, given the difficulty many people are experiencing finding hand sanitizer, they have decided to expand their offerings.

Vegamour now offers a three-pack option of two-ounce bottles of hand sanitizer. Better yet, each pack comes with a free face mask.

Vegamour’s Hand Sanitizer Spray – 3 Pack description reads, “Here to keep you and yours safe, this hand sanitizer bundle makes safety seamless whether you’re at home or on the go.”

Like with all Vegamour products, the hand sanitizer is 100% vegan. It is made with 75% isopropyl alcohol, which is actually above the Center for Disease Control’s standard of 70% alcohol for hand sanitizer. Beyond isopropyl alcohol, the hand sanitizer also contains organic aloe vera, the brand’s exclusive marula oil, and various essential oils, including orange peel and lavender essential oil. These scents are believed to have calming properties, meanwhile, the isopropyl alcohol is effective at killing 99.9 percent of germs.

Beyond the hand sanitizer, which conveniently comes in a two-ounce spray bottle, each pack also comes with a complimentary face mask (yet another hard-to-get commodity in this market), that promises to “help safeguard you from germs and flatten the curve.”

Overall, Vegamour’s hand sanitizer is marketed as being anti-microbial, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal.

Perhaps best of all is the fact that Vegamour has promised to donate a portion of the proceeds of their organic, vegan hand sanitizer towards helping the community during these unprecedented times. Specifically, they have stated that 20 percent of the proceeds from each purchase of hand sanitizer will be donated directly to Project Angel Food. Project Angel Food is a nonprofit organization in Los Angeles county that provides free meals to people who are too sick to shop and cook for themselves.

Furthermore, Vegamour has also pledged to donate 5,000 masks to Sean Penn’s CORE Organization, otherwise known as Community Organized Relief Effort, which helps with emergency relief, disaster preparedness, environmental resilience, and community building in areas in need.

Vegamour’s Hand Sanitizer – 3 Pack retails at $16 USD and the complimentary face mask is red with a white floral design. Alternatively, consumers can also purchase Vegamour’s hand sanitizer in a single two-ounce bottle for $6 USD or in a six-ounce bottle for $16 USD.
