Featuring a structure that is designed to have the minimum requirements for functionality, Orbe is a table lamp created by Ricardo Innecco and Mariana Ramos of studio RAIN.
The front box of the lamp houses the light source, while the conical plate rebounds the light.
With the back providing stability, the front box acts as weight for support.
“Its name alludes to the aesthetics of the object, given by the conjunction of the geometric design with its metallic finishes and matte colors,” explained RAIN. “At the same time, the circular reflector that surrounds the frontal totem sets up a kind of aura. It can resemble either a classic piece full of symbolism, or a technological instrument with a futuristic character.”
Orbe is available in the colour combinations of silver with blue, black with red, and gold with carbon.
