The Fabric Covering of Google’s New Nest Mini Is Made from 100% Recycled Plastic Bottles

At an event in New York City, Google has unveiled its second-generation of Nest Mini. Driven by the pledge of using recycled materials in all Google products by 2022, the Nest Mini’s fabric covering is made from 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottles.

With a single half-litre plastic bottle, fabric covering for two Nest Mini devices can be made.

The external enclosure is also made from 35% post-consumer recycled plastic.
