TAUR, the London-based electric scooter brand, has once again captured the hearts of electric mobility enthusiasts with the launch of their latest innovation – the TAUR II.

Building upon their award-winning legacy, TAUR aims to set new industry standards by blending safety, style, and impressive performance into one exceptional electric scooter. The TAUR II is now live on Kickstarter, and backers have the opportunity to be among the first to experience this groundbreaking product.

Safety Innovation and Aesthetics

TAUR’s commitment to road safety innovation is evident in the TAUR II’s design. The scooter features a unique ‘foot platform’ that allows riders to stand with both feet side by side, offering improved balance and stability. Introduced during their debut Kickstarter campaign in 2020, this innovative design has now become an industry standard, demonstrating TAUR’s influence on the electric scooter market.

This distinctive foot platform also enables the use of bigger wheels, and TAUR has partnered with Unilli®, a renowned performance motorbike brand, to equip the TAUR II with two 12.5″ pneumatic, puncture-resistant tires. These are the largest and widest tires found on any electric scooter in the market, providing a smooth and comfortable ride while eliminating the worry of encountering potholes.

Unparalleled Performance and Range

TAUR has paid close attention to customer feedback and addressed a common concern – range anxiety. With this in mind, the TAUR II offers two range variants to suit various riders’ needs. The base model boasts an impressive range of up to 27 miles (approximately 43 kilometres) on a single charge, providing ample coverage for everyday commuting. For those facing steeper terrains or needing extended range, the TAUR II Plus is the ideal choice, offering an astonishing range of up to 40 miles (approximately 64 kilometres).

The TAUR II is not only powerful in terms of range but also in speed. With a top speed of 24 mph (approximately 37 kph), the scooter allows riders to cruise efficiently through urban landscapes, all while adhering to local speed regulations for safety.

Safety Features That Shine

Safety remains a top priority for TAUR, and the TAUR II exemplifies this commitment. Integrated turn signals provide enhanced visibility, while TAUR’s patented rear light projection technology projects light up the rider’s back, making them visible to drivers at eye level, particularly during night rides. This comprehensive lighting system ensures riders can confidently navigate roads with improved safety and visibility.

User Experience and Convenience

Understanding the need for a seamless user experience, TAUR has integrated smartphone compatibility into the TAUR II. A Quad Lock® mount on the central console allows riders to conveniently attach their smartphones. Through the TAUR app, users can access vital ride statistics and information, or switch to their preferred navigation app for easy route planning.

Lightweight and Durable Design

The TAUR II features a lightweight rear-wheel motor and an ultra-quiet planetary gearbox, enhancing acceleration, hill-climbing capabilities, and cruising efficiency. With a weight of just 45 lbs (approximately 20.5 kg), the scooter is easily portable, making it a practical choice for urban commuters.

Kickstarter Campaign – Join the Movement!

The TAUR II has already captured the attention of electric scooter enthusiasts worldwide, and now, TAUR invites backers to join the movement and be a part of this groundbreaking project. The Kickstarter campaign, which runs until August 16, offers exclusive early-bird deals, allowing backers to secure their very own TAUR II at an attractive starting price of $995, inclusive of taxes and duties.
