Known for its inclusive ethos and range of quirky and playful offerings, sustainable label Parade has just unveiled the world’s first carbon-neutral edgeless underwear.

Teaming up with Native Energy, Parade created the new line with an aim to combat global carbon emissions produced by the fashion industry and to neutralize its own carbon footprint.

Dubbed Universal, the new range of carbon-neutral underwear comprises four of Parade’s most popular and best-selling silhouettes: the Hip-Hugger, Thong, High-Rise Boyshort, and Brief. Each model is constructed out of Parade’s certified recycled and sustainable premium yarns and features a 100% organic cotton gusset lining.

By using sustainable recycled yarns, Parade generates 8.5% energy savings, 84% water waste savings, and 77% gas generation savings. On top of that, all materials used are OEKO-TEX  certified, meaning each item is free of pollutants, toxic dyes, and other harmful chemicals that can be detrimental to the planet and your skin.

In terms of design, Parade’s buttery soft options were created to be super-smooth, with no lines showing under your clothes, even under leggings.

A range of 9 bold-to-neutral hues has also been made available including the neon orange “Sparkler,” a navy blue “Starry Sky,” the cotton candy “Pink Sorbet,” and a black “Eightball,” amongst others.

To offset the carbon emissions from every pair of Universal underwear, Parade is investing within Native’s conservation of over 14,500 acres of prairie land in Colorado. This additionally acts as Parade’s first step in its commitment to becoming entirely carbon neutral by the end of 2022. Even Parade’s packaging is compostable.

Starting at just $8 USD/$10 CAD, Parade’s Universal line is now available online. Prioritizing inclusivity, sizes range from XS to 3XL.
