In a fashion world where sustainability is the new black, two industry giants have joined forces to create an accessory that’s making waves: the Rothy’s and Vogue Reversible Lightweight Tote in Brilliant Mix. This limited-edition bag is a testament to the power of sustainable design, innovation, and collaboration.

A Sustainable Revolution

Rothy’s, known for its commitment to eco-friendly practices, has partnered with Vogue, the iconic fashion authority, to produce a bag that not only turns heads but also turns the tide on wasteful fashion practices. The collaboration represents a significant step towards creating a more sustainable and environmentally responsible fashion industry.

The Design Contest That Sparked Inspiration

At the heart of this collaboration is the spirit of innovation and empowerment. Rothy’s and Vogue launched a student design contest, inviting aspiring designers to push the boundaries of sustainable fashion. The winning entry, created by NYU student Hailey Rodee, is the Reversible Lightweight Tote in Brilliant Mix. This bag is more than just a fashion accessory; it’s a symbol of young talent, creativity, and a brighter, greener future.

The Brilliant Mix: A Bag Like No Other

The Reversible Lightweight Tote in Brilliant Mix is a true masterpiece. Inspired by the vibrant, multicoloured grid of a record-mixing console, this bag boasts a tri-patterned texture that’s both eye-catching and versatile. On one side, contrasting stripes in midnight blue, cream, and burgundy create a sophisticated look, while the other side features a cheerful royal blue scheme that adds a playful touch.

Eco-Conscious Materials

What makes this bag truly exceptional is its commitment to sustainable materials. It incorporates Rothy’s signature thread, spun from recycled plastic bottles, reducing plastic waste. Additionally, approximately 618 grams of ocean-bound marine plastic collected within 30 miles of waterways have been used in its creation, highlighting the brand’s dedication to cleaning our oceans and preserving marine life.
