Created by designer Peter Opsvik, the Globe Concept is a collection of office chairs and desks for a “modern, mobile and active workplace”.

“New technology has enabled us to be freer and less dependent on traditional office workplaces,” said Opsvik. “Distance working is more and more common. Our meetings are increasingly virtual. Fixed workstations are replaced by hot-desking, and large, expensive conference rooms are replaced by small, technology-packed cubbyholes.”

“New times also require a new way of thinking with regard to office furniture,” added Opsvik.

The most notable piece from the collection is the Globe Garden chair. Featuring a rounded head, arm, back and leg rest, the chair stands 1.8 m in total.

“Garden is an icon, an art object and eye catcher and also offers numerous comfortable sitting positions,” explained Opsvik. “With spectacular height the Garden is a masterpiece for creative thinking.”
