LA-based sustainable swimwear label OOKIOH has debuted a colourful range of bikinis and one-pieces, dubbed “Summer of Love”, to celebrate the hot weather in style.

OOKIOH’s Spring/Summer 2021 season is inspired by the bold prints, colours, and styles of the ‘70s and comprises numerous choices such as the high-waisted Surfrider bottom to the more revealing and classic silhouette, Goa. Continuing to channel the free spirit vibes of the era, tops are embellished with buckle closures, tie detailing, and ring hardware, while the one-pieces, such as the Ocho Rios and Tangier, are truly Bond Girl worthy.

In terms of colour palette, the pieces reference French painter Jacques Majorelle’s garden in Morocco with tones of bright orange, navy blues, garden greens, and toasted browns being spotlighted alongside OOKIOH’s first-ever in-house print, a retro floral pattern seen on the brand’s beloved Como, Monaco, and Surfrider options.

The label ensures each of its swimsuits is ethically crafted and made with 100% regenerated materials, such as sunken fishing nets and pre-consumer waste that usually ends up in landfills. The materials are sourced and manufactured in an Italian mill which, also helps to reduce carbon dioxide-equivalent emissions. On top of that, the bathing suits are chlorine-resistant and shape-retaining to ensure you will feel your very best.

Each swimsuit purchased arrives in 100% compostable packaging, including tissue paper, stickers, and cards that are acid-free, FSC-certified, and use soy-based ink.

All items in OOKIOH’s SS21 collection are now available online.
