As part of a marketing campaign to promote Nissan’s ProPILOT Park technology, Nissan has embedded their autonomous parking technology in slippers, floor cushions, tables and even a TV remote control.
Setting up a pop-up hotel in Hakone, Japan, Nissan utilized their autonomous driving and parking technology found in the Nissan LEAF to enable inanimate objects such as slippers to automatically park itself with just a press of a button.
Equipped with two wheels, sensors, and a motor, the slippers can be used normally like any other slipper but once taken off, it can drive themselves and park in a designated space.
