Two Days Off

Founded by Gina Stovall, Two Days Off is an eco-friendly fashion brand based in Los Angeles that takes sustainability seriously.

“We believe that a good wardrobe should be simple, conscious, and have enough ease for everyday life. For us, ease is not only about how you feel in our clothes. It is also the ease of mind that the garment on your back is not at the cost of someone else’s welfare whether that be directly through our production practices or indirectly through our environmental impact,” reads the brand’s website.

Thus, Two Days Off only produces small, limited edition batches or made to order clothing. They are entirely plastic-free, certified climate neutral, and create their items out of deadstock or natural fabrics. More specifically, they source their fabric from deadstock textiles in the LA area.

For those that don’t know, deadstock is a term used in the fashion industry to refer to fabric that has already been manufactured but that ended up not being used in the production process. By choosing to create their pieces out of deadstock fabrics, Two Days Off showcases their dedication to reducing waste. In addition, they claim that it makes their collections even more unique, as they often only have a limited amount of each type of deadstock fabric available.

Further, when it comes to fabric, Two Days Off places a priority on using biodegradable, natural textiles as much as possible. This includes linen, cotton, wool, and ethical silks. These natural fibre fabrics have less of an impact on the environment and are often recyclable. They are also among the most comfortable fabrics to wear and hold up well over time.

Regarding production, Two Days Off are experts at crafting high-quality pieces in an ethical way. Their goal is to produce garments that are both comfortable and durable, in order for consumers to use them for years. They are looking to lengthen the average time span that consumers typically use clothes before they end up in a landfill.

This goal of reducing waste is yet another reason why their pieces are exclusively made to order or produced in very small batches locally in LA. This does mean that for made to order garments, Two Days Off requires four weeks of lead time to produce it.

Finally, Two Days Off utilizes plastic-free packaging. In fact, all of the brand’s packaging is not only reusable and recyclable, but it’s also biodegradable. Going plastic-free is a practice that has been adopted company-wide.
