LOLI

Founded in 2014, LOLI (which stands for Living Organic Loving Ingredients) has been all about natural, organic ingredients since the beginning.

Frustrated with the number of beauty products on the market that were mostly made up of water, synthetics, and preservatives, LOLI founder Tina Hedges decided it was time to “stir it up.”

That is how LOLI came to be, out of Hedges’ desire to make a conscious change in the beauty industry. At the core of LOLI’s mission is environmental sustainability. That is what inspired the small but mighty company to become the first-ever completely zero waste beauty brand.

LOLI’s promise to consumers is multi-prong. First, they promise to make every product fresh. Second, they are guided by intention. In essence, if it isn’t better for the people and the planet, they don’t do it. They operate by a “never diluted or polluted” motto when it comes to their ingredients. That is why all LOLI ingredients are certified organic or organically cultivated.

This means that the brand only works with small, local farmers or suppliers who cultivate and harvest using organic, pesticide-free, or wild harvest practices. They also partner with organic farmers to upcycle ingredients from the food supply, such as the Ente plum kernel sourced from France that is used in LOLI’s Plum Elixir. Speaking of plums, they also use several superfood ingredients that are food-grade and ethically cultivated. In addition, they believe raw is best, so that is why all ingredients are minimally processed.

Further, LOLI is a member of the Organic Trade Association, working to better define standards for natural beauty, and uses 100% waterless formulas for all products. They are also a vegan brand that does not test on animals. Beyond animals, LOLI also is also committed to being people free. They are proud to be the first beauty company to become a member of Made in a Free World, a global organization of advocates, doctors, and changemakers dedicated to eradicating slavery around the world. In addition to being a member, LOLI donates $1 from every purchase of $75 or more to organizations that are making a difference when it comes to human trafficking. 

Finally, LOLI is centred on honesty. Transparency is their mantra, which is why they state, plain and simple, what is in every single product they sell. No surprises or strange, impossible-to-pronounce words, because all of their ingredients are non-GMO, organic, and earth-friendly. 

All of this has gotten LOLI to where it is today. Currently, LOLI is a scientifically-certified Made Safe, waterless, vegan brand that exclusively sources organic, wild-harvested ingredients that are non-GMO and fair trade, as well as raw and upcycled. Further, the brand’s packaging, including boxes, bags, and labels, is all compostable.

Plus, the products that come in food-grade, glass yogurt jars are recyclable, and better yet, reusable, providing the perfect container for food storage. Overall, the many steps LOLI has taken have made them a completely full-circle, zero waste brand.
