Thanks to the popularity of companies such as Tesla, electric vehicles are beginning to become commonplace on our roads. Eager to join in and embrace electrification is luxury automaker Lincoln, who just unveiled its concept EV called Lincoln Star Concept.
Said to be a showcase of the automaker’s design language for its future electric vehicles, the Lincoln Star Concept will lead the way for three new EVs that are set to be released by Lincoln in 2025.
“As Lincoln enters the next chapter in our transition to a zero-emissions future, the Lincoln Star Concept will lead the way for our portfolio of fully electric vehicles,” says Joy Falotico, president of Lincoln. “It is an excellent example of how we are redefining luxury for the next generation as we work to transform the vehicle into a third space – a true place of sanctuary – for our clients.”
Featuring a sleek silhouette with a luxurious interior, the core design tenets are beauty, human, gliding and sanctuary, according to Lincoln.
“Electrification is removing many traditional vehicle design constraints, allowing us to reimagine what a vehicle can be,” adds Anthony Lo, chief design officer of Ford Motor Company. “The Lincoln Star is a study of experiences and themes that push the boundaries of Lincoln design – and it’s just the start.”
