From creating a 100% vegan boot in collaboration with Hunter to pledging not to ever use leather or fur, Stella McCartney is a fashion designer well known for her commitment to sustainability.

Recently, McCartney released a limited edition womenswear collection made of repurposed leftover materials sourced from previous collections. Entitled 23 Old Bond Street Limited Edition, the collection is exclusively available at McCartney’s reopened London flagship.

“‘I think in order to have sustainability in fashion, you need to think in advance,” said McCartney. “You need to think about everything in a circular way and in its entirety and at the end of the day a lot of it is about waste, you know, ‘Waste not, want not, do unto the planet as you would have them do unto you’.”

The womenswear collection was modelled by Lena Hardt and photographed by her husband, Richard Jensen. “All the patterns and colours inspired me – they created, in a way, colour blocks of pattern over Lena which were a pleasant surprise,” noted Jensen⁣.
