Kotn, a B-Corp-certified brand known for its support of the Egyptian cotton farming community, recently released its Fall/Winter 2023 collection. This new collection is a harmonious blend of timeless textures and contemporary silhouettes, skillfully weaving together elements that contrast with one another.
To capture the essence of their Fall/Winter 2023 collection, Kotn recruited the talents of Cairo-based photographer Mohamed Sherif. The up-and-coming and highly underrated artist has been slowly gaining traction over the years for his unique and striking street photography.
“There are many experiences in life. Fashion and documentation, mixing them, isn’t easy. A new journey with KOTN to understand many meanings about teamwork in the field of fashion while adding my own personality,” says Sherif.
“Throughout my journey, I get to know people and then photograph them. Here the opposite happens. I meet models Bakryyyyyyy, Zeinaelogaill, Sheroukfarid who have their own unique character. It was amazing for me. Listen, share your views with Briteccles, Yousraeldeeb, Halla Koudsi. The story in these pictures lies in the events and people.”
Notable pieces in Kotn’s Fall/Winter 2023 collection include the Mediterranean Vest, crafted from a wrinkle-proof recycled blend. This exceptional piece boasts a unique cross-over opening, enhanced with four exterior buttons and one interior button for a secure fit. What truly sets it apart is the full lining made of 100% Egyptian Cotton thermal waffle, ensuring both comfort and style.
The Hamatah Sweater is another highlight of the collection. This exquisite knit sweater is meticulously crafted from 100% Egyptian Cotton, featuring classic ribbed detailing on the neckline, hem, and cuffs. With its relaxed body and dropped shoulder design, it’s ideal for layering over a turtleneck, while still providing the softness and comfort to be worn on its own.
