Following their inaugural Lioness collection released in November of last year, Emmy award-winning actress and women’s rights activist Kerry Washington has once again teamed up with New York City-based jewellery brand Aurate for a special Mother’s Day range.
Aptly dubbed “Birth of Mother,” the designs in the collaborative range are inspired by Sandro Botticelli’s famed painting, The Birth of Venus, and additionally celebrates motherhood and women from all over the world. To showcase the collection, Washington appears alongside her mother, Valerie, in a heartfelt campaign.
Keeping true to Aurate’s sustainability initiatives, the Kerry Washington x Aurate “Birth of Mother” nine-piece capsule is made entirely from delicate organic pearls and recycled 14k gold vermeil.
The range comprises soft and elegantly designed necklaces, earrings, and rings inspired by the ocean. The pieces feature shell shapes along with the aforementioned pearl embellishments. What makes the collection even more special is that every shell, texture, and pearl is unique in its intricacies, ensuring you receive a one-of-a-kind item.
Highlights in the range include the Venus Organic Pearl Gold Necklace Set, the Venus Organic Pearl Gold Earrings, along with the Venus Tri Gold Rings that can be layered to give off a more edgy look. Each item is designed and created in New York City and is produced on a made-to-order basis.
For each purchase made from the “Birth of Mother” collection, Washington and Aurate will donate 10% of the sales to Baby2Baby, a non-profit organization that supports children in poverty.
