Fashion label KARL LAGERFELD has joined forces with American supermodel Amber Valletta.
Together, they have released an eco-friendly capsule collection that features accessories made from organic, bio-based, and recycled materials.
The standout item in the collection is the limited edition K/Kushion bag (which comes in black and green) crafted from Desserto, a vegan leather produced from the native cactus in Mexico that requires no herbicides, pesticides, or irrigation to grow. The quilted version of the K/Kushion bag, which comes in a cream hue, is made from recycled cotton.
Profits generated from the sale of the K/Kushion bags will be donated to The Ocean Cleanup, a non-profit charity working to rid the world’s oceans of plastic.
Other accessories in the collection include the Rounded Toiletry Bag made out of recycled cotton and the Zippered Cardholders made out of 100% vegetable fibres.
