Jean Couvreur’s Banc Frais Bench Features a Water Pump

Created by Paris-based designer Jean Couvreu, Banc Frais is a concrete bench with an integrated water pump system that acts as a hub for social interactions.

When Banc Frais’ handle wheel is turned, the shallow well on the bench’s top surface is filled with fresh water.

Thanks to the white concrete’s porosity, the water retains its freshness.
