Founded by Anna Bronowski and Julia Holtzheimer, Jan ‘n June is an eco-fashion label dedicated to sustainable practices and transparency.
Creating affordable and minimalist clothing, Jan ‘n June’s pieces are made from sustainable materials including organic and recycled cotton, Tencel, recycled polyester, recycled polyamide, organic linen, acetate, and Ecovero.
A QR code is included on each garment that is directed to an ECO-ID. Jan ‘n June has given each of their pieces these IDs so that customers can see where and how the piece was made at every step of the process.
These QR codes are also included in Jan ‘n June’s offcut collections. These collections are made entirely from leftover fabric resulting from the production process. These offcuts are used to create accessory items like scrunchies and headbands. The brand has even started using them to make handbags and stationery.
All of their pieces are made in Poland and Portugal. Here, regular visits to ensure that production is sustainable and ethical. Many of these factories are family-owned and certified.
As for their packaging, Jan ‘n June has thought of everything. Their package their clothes without plastic. Instead, they use pergamin bags, which customers are encouraged to send back so that they may be reused. They try to use these bags and returned boxes as much as possible to thank the environment for all its given to their brand.
