With the aim to promote a healthy planet, London-based brand Good News creates sneakers that feature organic cotton and weave uppers, recycled eco-lite footbeds, and recycled rubber soles.

Good News was founded by Nia Jones and Ben Tattersall to counteract the waste that the footwear and garment industry produces.

“We would go on buying trips to factories and the first thing I remember seeing was the amount of waste,” said Jones. “I was told then that the factories burnt them.”

With the rubber soles made from recycled tires and the insole comprised of recycled EVA, bean-sourced castor oil rather than petroleum is used in the production of the inner and outer sole. The 100 percent organic cotton used is grown without the use of pesticides or fertilizers.
