Contemporary Danish fashion brand Ganni and beloved American denim brand Levi’s have joined forces once again for a second eco-friendly collection.

The two previously collaborated in summer 2020, when they released an upcycled, rental-only denim capsule collection.

Like the first time, the second Ganni x Levi’s collection, which dropped on February 24, has sustainability at the fore. The new line features an innovative range of eco-friendly pieces (some denim and some not denim), all of which are made out of cottonized hemp.

The decision to create the collection out of cottonized hemp came down to the environment. According to Ganni, hemp generally requires less water and fewer pesticides than conventionally grown cotton, making it a more sustainable choice for both the soil and water.

Further, the hemp specifically used in the new collection came from rain-fed hemp crops, which serves to reduce water usage even further. In order to “cottonize” the hemp fibres, the material is treated in such a way that it softens, making it indistinguishable in look and feel from cotton.

Overall, Ganni and Levi’s latest collaboration is made up of playful classics intended to last a lifetime. The capsule collection combines Levi’s iconic silhouettes with Ganni’s feminine detailing, and further showcases both brands’ commitment to the environment.

Ganni x Levi’s cottonized hemp collection features everything from maxi dresses and boat neck jackets to classic tees and sweatshirts, wide-leg jeans, and high-waisted paper bag shorts. The 14-piece collection can be shopped now on Ganni’s and Levi’s respective websites, with prices ranging from $115 to $475 USD.
