Known for repurposing and giving vintage garments new life, Vancouver-based creative group Frankie Collective has recently released its latest line-up of creations made from discarded Patagonia items.

The range of reworked apparel and accessory items include patchwork sweatpants and skirts crafted from pre-loved Patagonia garments that can either be worn as cozy attire inside the house or out in town as you run errands.

Also featured are numerous signature fleece jackets from Patagonia’s archive (which can be dated back to the 1980s) that have been repurposed into cropped tops and tanks. Rounding out the capsule are patchwork pullovers and jumpers that showcase shorter, yet trendy, hemlines and a toggle fastening system to help elevate the overall designs.

In terms of accessories, mini handbags have been upcycled from vintage Patagonia windbreaker jackets, which have been sourced and reworked in Canada. Each 1-of-1 garment pushes the boundaries of contemporary style and is completely unique.

Through its sustainability and upcycling initiatives, Frankie Collective saves 65,000 lbs of clothing from landfills every year. Additionally, all of the label’s textile scraps are recycled and repurposed to eliminate textile waste. Even the brand’s mailer is 100% compostable and made from plant-based materials.
