Located on Laurier avenue in Montréal, Canada, fashion label Ecole de Pensée’s flagship store houses seasonal and permanent collections alongside curated pieces from European and Japanese collaborators.
The 1800 sq ft(167 sq m) space with “apartment-inspired decor” features rough-textured walls.
Using trowel hammers, sponges, water, glue, clear wood varnish and paint spray, the walls are said to have taken roughly 250 hours to achieve the final finish.
To contrast the walls, a dark brown wooden flooring is laid.
“The ambiance proposed is calm and welcoming, reflecting the brand’s ethos,” said École de Pensée.
The store is furnished with peices from Danish designers Finn Juhl and Poul Cadovius.
Alongside black metallic clothing racks, there is a wooden shelf and conrete blocks of various sizes throughout the space in the form of a checkout desk and display platforms.
At the back of the store, there is a lounge area and two dressing rooms.
