Do You Green

French brand Do You Green has made a name for itself in the sustainable fashion industry. The company was founded in 2011 by Sophie Young and quickly became known for their ethical lingerie.

What sets them apart from the other environmentally-friendly underwear brands out there? Do You Green uses its own eco-friendly, patented material for every pair of underwear and bra they produce. The material is called DYG Pinewood, and it is an ultra-soft and moisture-wicking fabric that is derived from pine tree fibres.

This revolutionary material is both sustainable and ecological, as harvesting pine requires 50 percent less water than cotton. Specifically, Do You Green uses the remains of wood to create their patented fabric.

What Do You Green loves about DYG Pinewood is that it is just as soft to the touch like cotton, but has two times the absorption power. This makes it perfect for undergarments as it provides serious moisture-wicking power.

Further, when it comes to their packaging, Do You Green has sustainability in mind. The brand says no to plastic and instead opted to produce all packaging out of recycled paper. In fact, the recycled paper that they put their products into has often been used by Do You Green employees at their office. For example, the pieces of paper their team of seamstresses uses to draw sewing patterns are repurposed and turned into packaging. Additionally, discarded thread from the production process is the material used to assemble the packages. Any scraps of thread, fabric, or paper that cannot be repurposed, Do You Green sends directly to various homeless organizations that they work within France.

Do You Green has both women’s and men’s items. The men’s collection consists of boxers, night shorts, short-sleeved t-shirts, and long-sleeved t-shirts. Meanwhile, the women’s collection offers consumers every type of panty and bra imaginable. From seamless to push up bras, tangas to thongs, women will love the variety of styles offered by Do You Green. They also sell pyjamas, leggings, and basic t-shirts, tank tops, and dresses for women.
