Headspace Pod

In collaboration with Headspace, studio Mike & Maaike led by Mike Simonian and Maaike Evers has designed a piece of furniture in the form of a vibrant meditation pod.

Made to enable users to meditate without the need for any screens or electronic devices, the Headspace Pod is fitted with three buttons that initiate ten-minute meditation sessions ranging from relax, refresh, and focus.

“Guided Headspace meditations are delivered through built-in directional audio that can only be heard from inside the pod,” explains Mike & Maaike. “No headphones, screen, or device needed. Soft, inviting felt upholstery provides a quiet and comfortable atmosphere. The lack of a screen removes associations with work or media. The upright seating creates a posture ideal for cultivating mindfulness.”

In addition to orange, the Headspace Pod comes in light pastel green.
