According to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), vinyl sales in the first half of 2019 accounted for $224 million in revenue. The total net revenue from physical sales in the first half of 2019 is $485 million.
With Vinyl revenue growing by 12.9% in the first six months of 2019, the statistics clearly indicate a resurgence in vinyl.
Despite the ease of burning music onto CDs, creating your own vinyl at home is unfortunately unfeasible due to a number of factors.
“Since the invention of record discs in 1889, mankind has been dreaming of a simple but precise desktop machine which would enable anybody to produce their own quality records with just the push of a button,” said Austria-based company PHONECUT. “Since the 1930s several machines were introduced to the market that all failed to reach a broader audience, mostly due to poor sound quality, overly complicated technical handling or unaffordable pricing.”
“2019, more than 70 years later, vinyl records are celebrating a surprising worldwide comeback but still their production is still locked up inside of high-tech, high-volume pressing plants,” added PHONECUT. “But as we know technology exploded in many fields opening up the incredible opportunity to finally re-think and re-invent record production. This is exactly what we did together with a small team of globally acknowledged experts.”
Capable of creating quality vinyl records with just a press of a button, the PHONOCUT HOME VINYL RECORDER is “a new chapter of record production”.
To create a vinyl record using PHONOCUT HOME VINYL RECORDER, a vinyl blank is first placed on the turntable. After connecting the device to a music input with a 1/8″ stereo mini-jack, simply press the start button to begin recording.
