The 486m² space is more than just a retail outlet; it’s a testament to COS’s dedication to reducing its carbon footprint and fostering a circular economy. Spearheaded by in-house designers and supported by sustainability experts, the store’s design seamlessly blends aesthetic appeal with eco-conscious materials and practices.

One of the standout features of the store is its use of sustainable materials throughout the interior. Bamboo wood fixtures, chosen for their renewable qualities and ability to sequester carbon dioxide, replace traditional hardwoods, embodying the brand’s commitment to sustainability. Additionally, aluminum rails, made from 30% recycled content, exemplify COS’s ethos of minimizing waste and maximizing resource efficiency.

Beyond its environmental considerations, the store’s design pays homage to Mexico’s rich cultural heritage and artisanal traditions. Warm tones inspired by the country’s cornfields adorn the space, creating an inviting and immersive atmosphere for shoppers. Moreover, the store serves as a platform for collaboration and creativity, featuring artworks and designs from a diverse array of artists and designers. From Caralarga’s timeless designs that preserve natural weaving techniques to collaborations with local artisans like Daniel Orozco and Jorge Arturo Ibarra, the store celebrates creativity while promoting sustainability and cultural exchange.
