Billie Eilish, the Grammy-winning music sensation known for her chart-topping hits and unique style, is making a groundbreaking move beyond the realm of music. Alongside her producer brother Finneas O’Connell, she’s stepping into the culinary world by introducing an innovative vegan Italian restaurant named Argento in the heart of Los Angeles‘ Silver Lake neighbourhood.

Argento marks Eilish’s foray into the restaurant industry, in collaboration with plant-based restaurateur Nic Adler and chef Scott Winegard. The endeavor promises not just another culinary experience, but a departure from the conventional approach to vegan dining.

Embracing the ethos of celebrating whole, plant-based foods, Argento’s menu will notably steer clear of processed meat substitutes. Adler, emphasizing a return to the roots of vegan cuisine, aims to elevate vegetables and showcase their flavours in innovative ways. With a commitment to sourcing ingredients from local farmers’ markets, the restaurant aims to offer a seasonal menu that highlights the natural essence of fresh produce.

The restaurant’s commitment extends beyond its menu. Argento plans to feature natural vegan wines, complementing its dedication to sustainability and quality.

“I want plant-based food to be more accessible,” says Eilish in an interview with Los Angeles magazine. “Vegan is for everyone. You don’t have to be vegan to eat vegan.”

Billie Eilish’s vegan Argento restaurant in Los Angeles is set to open in Winter 2024.
