At the 2018 LA Auto Show, Audi has unveiled their electric powered e-tron GT concept that is set to begin production by 2020.

Using a 90kWh battery pack to power two electric motors on each axle, the four-seater with 590 horsepower (434 kilowatts of power) is said to be capable of achieving 0 to 100 km/h (0 to 62.1 mph) in around 3.5 seconds and 200 km/h (124.3 mph) in 12 seconds.

With an estimated 400 km (250 mi) range, the lithium-ion battery will be charged via a wired cable and or by contactless induction with Audi’s Wireless Charging. Embedding charging pad with an integral coil inside of the floor where the car is parked, the alternating magnetic field will induce an alternating voltage in the secondary coil, charging the Audi e-tron GT concept at an output of 11 kW. The e-tron Gt concept is estimated to be able to charge 80% of the battery capacity in 20 minutes when charged via a wired cable.

Using recycled fabrics for the cushions, synthetic leather for the seats, microfiber material for the headlining and the trim of the window pillars, and an Econyl yarn made from recycled fishing nets for the floor carpet, the interior of the e-tron GT concept only use sustainable materials with no animal-based materials to be found.
