After closing their beloved Belgian flagship store on Avenue de la Toison d’Or presumably for financial reasons, Stockholm-based fashion and lifestyle brand ARKET has opened a brand new replacement store in Brussels.
The new Belgian flagship store is set to continue the brand’s tradition of offering essential products for women, men, children, and the home. Located at Avenue Louise 30, the store spans a total area of 350 square meters and features a captivating interior design. Unlike the previous Belgian flagship store however, the new smaller store unfortunately does not have a vegetarian café due to space limitations.
One of ARKET’s standout features is its distinctive design philosophy. The store’s aesthetic combines a monochrome palette of soft greys with natural materials such as solid oak and custom-made terrazzo flooring, creating a visually pleasing and inviting space for customers.
Pernilla Wohlfahrt, ARKET’s Managing Director, expresses her enthusiasm for this new store, saying, “We are super excited to welcome our Belgian customers back to our new physical ARKET destination. The location is new, yet the brand experience is unmistakably still there.” This continuity in the brand experience is crucial for ARKET as they aim to cater to the needs and desires of their loyal customer base.
ARKET, founded in 2017 and owned by The H&M group, has always been guided by the principles of sustainable design and everyday beauty. The brand’s inspiration is deeply rooted in the Nordic modernist movement of the 20th century, a period known for bridging the worlds of arts, crafts, and functional forms to create affordable and accessible items for daily use. This heritage is evident in their collections, which focus on providing products that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also environmentally responsible.
