The quarantine due to COVID-19 is tough, especially for children and thier parents who struggle to provide fun activities at home.

As such, iconic Swedish furniture company IKEA in collaboration with creative agency Instinct has published a guide on building pillow forts with household basics and IKEA products.

The guide is a part of IKEA’s campaign to promote safety and health by staying home during the COVID-19 pandemic. “#StayHome was a general slogan of this spring,” said Instinct. “Self-isolation and quarantine measures are ongoing.”

“Parents no longer know how else they can entertain their children being stuck inside the four walls. To those who are totally out of all ideas, IKEA offers to build a play house using instruction and things which can be easy found in every home – blankets, bedspreads, chairs, stools, etc,” added Instinct.

In total, there are six pillow forts that make up the guide. The pillow forts are named Höuse, Förtress, Wigwåm, Cåstle, Cåve, and Cåmping tent.

Although there are illustrations and a list of materials and furniture pieces needed, there are no building instructions as the pillow forts are relatively easy to build.
