Sustainable fashion brand Allbirds has officially entered the activewear market.
The company, which is headquartered in San Francisco, announced earlier this week the launch of its first-ever performance apparel collection.
Dubbed the Natural Run Collection, the line has been two years in the making.
As with all of the brand’s endeavours, Allbirds Natural Run Collection was brought to life using eco-friendly materials, including eucalyptus tree fibre, Merino wool, recycled nylon, and Tencel Lyocell.
Beyond the use of sustainable materials, Allbirds also clearly labels each item with its carbon footprint. Carbon footprints for items range from 4.7 kg to 14.5 kg CO2e. Allbirds promises that all carbon footprints are offset to zero before being sold.
The sportswear line consists of men’s and women’s styles, including leggings, bike shorts, tank tops, t-shirts, and running shorts. Items are available in “classic” colours (black, grey, white, etc…), as well as “limited edition” colours like Aubergine purple, Oceanus blue, and Shadow red.
