Released as part of adidas by Stella McCartney FW21, STELLARUN is a pre-season capsule described as being “purposefully built to support the next generation of changemakers in their running journeys.”
Made up of various pieces of athletic wear in addition to a running shoe, the entire capsule was created with sustainability in mind.
For example, the simple white crop t-shirt is made of 100% recycled polyester. Meanwhile, the running tights and crop top are made of 79% recycled polyester. Said to be Stella McCartney’s most sustainable footwear to date, the Earthlight running shoe features a recycled EVA midsole and upper made from PRIMEBLUE, a high-performance recycled yarn with 50% Parley Ocean Plastic.
Thanks to Made To Be Remade technology, certain athletic wear also includes a QR code that allows customers to scan and give back once worn so that it can be remade into something new.
