With the goal of raising awareness and to help solve the climate crisis, Tito Jankowski and his team have captured and converted atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO2) into solid form to create the Negative bracelet.

Currently available on Kickstarter for pre-order, customers who purchase a bracelet will be supporting direct air capture technology.

The bracelet beads are made from a blend of captured CO2 and naturally-sourced clay. With natural fibres holding the beads together, a magnetic clasp is used to firmly secure the bracelet onto the wrist.

The CO2 for the beads are captured and converted into solids by Carbon Upcycling Technologies.

To ensure that the COproduced during the bracelet’s manufacturing and shipping process is offset, CO2 is captured from the atmosphere by Climeworks. In doing so, the Negative Bracelets become carbon-neutral.

Going above and beyond, additional amounts of CO2 attributed to the bracelets will be captured as a means of setting the standards for other companies to follow suit.

There are three variations of Negative bracelets available. Considered entry-level, revenue made from Negative Black will pay for twice the amount of CO2 emitted during manufacturing and shipping to be captured.

Negative silver features a sterling silver bead and will pay for five times the amount of CO2 emmitted to be captured.

Featuring a 18k gold bead, Negative gold will capture 10 times the amount of CO2 emmitted.
