Acting as part of Moncler‘s Genius project, 2 Moncler 1952 returns with an all-new seasonal range for Spring/Summer 2021. For the latest lineup, designer Veronica Leoni effortlessly merges functional, utilitarian-indebted looks with femininity and comfort.

With an aim in elevating its signature technical clothing, and to make it more versatile for everyday wear, 2 Moncler 1952’s latest seasonal range features a variety of new silhouettes, tailored looks, and voluminous pieces. Leoni brilliantly plays with proportions and shapes, along with textures and weight, to give the label’s SS21 collection a very sculptural yet relaxed feel.

Throughout the looks, Bermuda shorts and culottes are paired with soft knitwear and utilitarian-styled outwear, while chunky Breton stripes and check crochet work are also spotlighted on short-sleeve shirts and sweaters to cashmere cardigans and turtlenecks.

Additionally, quilting gets a Spring revamp and appears as light stitching panelled into poplin shirts and zipped into A-line skirts. The collection also features Moncler’s iconic puffer jackets, which have been redesigned to feature dropped shoulders, curved drawstring hemlines, and balloon sleeves.

But it’s the practical elements that make 2 Moncler 1952 standout from the crowd. On a closer look, cotton rope laces, subtle fishnet mesh inserts, and drawstrings help to elevate the apparel items, all while maintaining its feminine charm. Along with clothing, 2 Moncler 1952’s SS21 collection includes accessories such as crossbody pouches, cylindrical-shaped bags, and a range of footwear such as raw-cut leather sandals.

In terms of colour palette, Leoni blesses the upcoming season with airy chalk white and blush tones, earthly aqua greens, sage, and seafoam, to rich terracotta, chocolate browns, and burgundy.

To keep with up Moncler’s sustainability efforts, the seasonal range sees the debut of low-impact materials such as recycled Japanese rip-stop, which has been treated with natural dyes, and a mixed product composed of rubberized recycled nylon, raw cotton, and linen. Elsewhere, raw cotton and linen help to create Moncler’s nylon laqué, which can be found on the trench coats, parkas, cropped duffle jackets, and other outwear items.
