The Body Shop is well known for its cruelty-free and 100% vegetarian skincare and beauty products. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they have continued to look after humanity by offering their resources to those in need.

As of May 12, they have donated more than 1 million products worth roughly £4.5 million to the frontline workers in hospitals, care homes, and hospices around the globe.

The Body Shop has been involved with social activism since 1986. In 1987 they made alliances with the Trade Not Campaign, working to economically help vulnerable communities by sustainably sourcing ingredients from these areas. They have continued to support sustained trade for 30 years.

Their help during COVID-19 emphasizes how The Body Shop prioritizes helping others. Their founder, Anita Roddick, strove to always put people first.

The Body Shop believes that self-care is extremely important during these difficult times, particularly for those who are working perilously to look after others. As well as offering products to workers, they have recently launched a #TimeToCare initiative, in which they provide tips on how to look after your body and mind. Their care packages are ideal presents for those that deserve a treat.
